Biography
Evro is an alternative rock band from the Philadelphia area that strives to bring back the jive of old rock and roll with a strong yet diverse sound. Fusing sounds of the old with sounds of the new, the four member band creates catchy hooks and amazing energy to captivate all types of audiences. Although a new and emerging band, Evro is diligently working to take over the airwaves of Philly.
It was almost an accident of fate for the members to have come together again. For Chris DeFusco (drummer) and Matt Gordon (guitarist), this was their third collective musical endeavor. The band finally came together after years of improvisation in various projects and after meeting Janelle Korkus (lead singer). Brian Vail (BASS) was the former guitarist for Chris and Matt's previous projects. Even though all the members have been part of other various musical projects and began with different outlooks, this was something that seemed right from the start for each band member. Their different musical outlooks allow each band member to use their talents tastefully in order to mold the sound known as Evro. "I would have never joined this project if it weren't for Janelle's incredible vocals and having good friends who equally write music and are amazing at their instruments." DeFusco mentions. Evro's songs are collectively created which helps promote diversity in their sound.
The band's unique and energizing sound can be attributed to the vast influences that each member brings to the band. Ranging from 311 to Jewel, Evro strives to mesh all types of sounds and present them with a unique and fervent energy. Continuing to promote their unique music, Evro is currently mastering their demo in hopes to reach out to as many fans as possible. They are diligently working to overcome musical challenges and strive to constantly achieve higher goals in the music industry.
